Berkshire Insider Tour

As seen in Andrew Martin’s Interior Design Review Vol. 24, this stunning 1918 Mission Revival Estate fell into our laps and we couldn’t be more grateful! Looking back to 2016, after completing the dining room for this strikingly beautiful home for the Pasadena Showcase House, before leaving and saying goodbye, I took a look around and whispered to the walls, “Call me if you need me.” A few years later, the house called, and my team and I were able to restore it to it’s original glory with a refreshed and refined twist.

Kitchen
The heart of the home. Our goal was to maintain the original architectural bones of the home, by steering away from a full remodel. We wanted to brighten up the space, so we kept the vibe light and airy by designing a new center island with a clean white base and Calcutta marble top. Our final touch was adding in hints of brass with the fixtures and lighting to add warmth to the room.

Grand Salon
This luxurious space was designed with entertaining in mind. It is filled with rich textiles and antique treasures. Fresh wallpaper and a pair of large 1930’s Art Deco Baccarat Plafonniers with a custom medallion transformed the ceiling into an ultimate statement piece. The lush, green velvet Baker sofas paired with the original fireplace make for a cozy seating area, and the antique sculptures and art complete the room.

Entry
Greeted by the home’s original architectural elements, for this entry, we wanted to keep as much of the existing details in tact as possible. Refreshing the staircase with a new runner, adding in antique finds mixed with contemporary vases and accessories made for the perfect warm welcome to this home.

Details
There are so many glorious details in this home it was important for us to give every moment the attention it needed. A few of our favorite room moments we love: a cat closet with fun stripes and cat shaped cut outs, a cozy reading nook in the super fun attic-turned-kids-zone, and a moody hallway leading from the entry to the dining room.
