Edge Details
We are grateful to work with a crew that can smoothly execute such gorgeous slab work - bringing our vision to a real life beauty. A favorite countertop edge detail for the Kelly Ferm Home team is the square cove edge. It gives just the right amount of classical presence without being overwhelming. Note this detail is then applied to the tall backsplash, softening the edges.
A straight edge is sleek and clean. When working with synthetic products like quartz we go for simplicity and try to not force details that may be distracting. This master bathroom vanity can handle spills and extreme use without worry.
“Give me a scallop any day!” says Kelly - “At times I drive fabricators nuts when I have a vision; while they might say I can complicate things, I find the details are special and should never be overlooked."
After a recent renovation in the powder room to the left, we opted for a taller backsplash with a scallop detail giving it a fresh look. The counter edge delicately follows the lines of the radius in the cabinet.
The children’s bath to the right is so timeless and fitting for the era of this historical home. Marble subway tile blended with a marble scalloped slab is so simple and naturally pretty. Bubble bath anyone?
