Cozy Laundry Nook

Laundry, a cycle that never ends, can always be made less daunting through thoughtful design. When the opportunity arises to incorporate a full laundry room, we take it for sufficient storage, and to hide the messy chaos that typically occurs from time-to-time. However, for this single-family home, a room dedicated solely to laundry was not in the scope, so we designed a clean, light, and airy solution: a laundry nook.

Keeping the space in harmony with the rest of the home, we went with a white color palette and brushed nickel hardware. The idea was to create a functional and accessible area with ample storage. We had a countertop surface installed above the washer and dryer with upper shelving and a subtle, yet pretty, backsplash. Of course, one of our favorite design tips, an undermount power strip for hidden outlets which allows for a super clean finish.

Peeking out from the laundry nook, sits an inviting library with a custom built-in along the back wall. A contemporary white & gray area rug softens up the space. Our favorite part of this room is the cozy reading chair and ottoman. Upholstered in a creamy, rich Westbury textile, made in Italy with the softest hand. This room has everything necessary for grabbing your favorite book, cuddling up in the cozy chair, and unwinding.
