Seamless Kitchen Details

When it comes to designing kitchens, the Client’s preferences are what sets the stage for the design process. In the case of this Mid-Century Modern kitchen, there were several details that we focused on. When considering the current “on-the-go” lifestyle, ease of maintenance, a tidy place for everything, and excellent food storage are at the forefront of design making.

I, personally, second the need for proper food storage; with today’s taxing shopping experience, it so important to have a quality refrigerator to keep food lasting longer. This seamless fridge, freezer and wine storage by Thermador is such a deluxe treatment, as well as, a smart investment.

The disappearing coffee station is perfect for a client who doesn’t want to see appliances and tableware cluttering the clean kitchen counters. The touch latch doors make it effortless to access and hide when needed.

Simple edge details for the quartz counter surface with a waterfall island edge allows for mopping without damaging woodwork and has an industrious wearability. Also, the touchless faucet is a wonderful feature for Clients who may often find themselves with messy fingers like me; not sure how I get so messy while cooking!

Team Kelly Ferm Home likes to label every compartment during the design process, ensuring our Clients have a place to store everything. There is is nothing worse than designing to find out pots & pans don’t fit. Too shallow of drawers can be more of a headache then what they are worth. Thoughtful design is necessary when designing a seamless kitchen.
