Designer's Process

DRYBOROUGH ESTATE GRAND HALLWAY

We are grateful to see our Grand Hallway design from the Dryborough Estate featured on the back cover of this month’s Luxe Magazine issue. Let’s take a  little dive into the design process for this space. One of the elements that makes this hallway so special is the unique wallpaper mural. Working with the talented artist, Susan Harter, and her wonderful team, we were able to transform this into a unique, bright, and fresh new space.

We’re sure we have all heard the term “measure twice, cut once.” When we decided to go forward with the mural paper, that phrase became embedded into our brains! We had no room for error and wanted the installation to speak for that.

We began by  selecting the perfect shade for the hallway from the Pastoral Collection. Upon the decision, we measured twice (maybe three times) and sent our CAD drawing elevations of the hallway measurements off. A few short weeks later, we received our “mini mural” printed to scale on the exact canvas to be used for final approval on all the details.

From sending on shop drawings to specifying the exact scale and position, we were able to turn our vision into reality. A process that truly is worth it for the most stunning end result!
