Step Inside The Brand

THE JOURNEY

I’m excited to be  sharing our journey on the re-branding of Kelly Ferm Home. I spent a wealthy portion of 2019 working with a talented graphic designer, Melissa Yeager, towards transforming my vision for a new and refreshed brand into reality.

LOGO & MARK

Why I Chose The Olive Branch & Peony

When it came to reworking my original mark, I knew that I wanted to keep my initial concept, but enhance it to create something timeless. I wanted the meaning that resonates with my life goal and that I would carry throughout my career. I originally chose the olive branch as my main inspiration because of the symbolization that it represents.

As I grow my brand and business, I want my team, family, and the world around me to also grow, replenish, and thrive.

Along with that, having always adored the peony flower, it was important for me to have it incorporated into the mark because of its beauty and, of course, my love for #OnlyPrettyThings. My talented graphic designer was able marry the olive branch with the peony in order to create the perfect logo and mark to reflect my brand.

BRAND COLORS

What Inspired My Color Palette For The Brand

I have always been a friend of color so it was important to me that the color palette be a true reflection of my brand. Shades of a “Kelly green” and chartreuse paired with soft blush tones and neutral grays. All of these colors blended together into my logo and mark really tie in the character of Kelly Ferm Home.

BRAND INGREDIENTS

How I Implemented The Brand Into My Business

With rebranding, there are so many ingredients to the recipe. Tags, ribbons in our custom colors, gift boxes, bags, custom tissue paper, new business cards, business letterheads, notebooks, stationary, pillow tags, and SO much more.

Every single step in this process we took into consideration. Thoughtfulness and attention to detail are two things I have always focused on and wanted to be sure the final product had my "Kelly Ferm" touch on it.

THE BOUTIQUE

How I Incorporated The Brand Into My Boutique

The finishing touches of this process were the signage details for the front windows of my boutique in Claremont. It is essential to me to have the people who walk past my boutique immediately grasp a little bit of what we do and who we are. The exterior of my boutique is the perfect part to display this message. My graphic designer did the most wonderful job from start to finish and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome!

With all of these changes in place, we are also excited to be launching our new and refined website to compliment the brand. Stay tuned...
